I need to know about the poles you ladies use. What's the "regulation" width, height? Does the pole have to be smooth, ribbed, etc? Can it be wider at the top or the bottom, or would that be as heretical as a baseball player using a lead pipe? Thanks in advance, I'd tip you if I could. I guess I can... brush and floss every day.

No regulations for this one. The diameter is usually around 2 inches, so that it's comfortable to grip it with one hand. The height depends on the room, but usually about 7-10 foot. It's always the same diameter from the top to the bottom, though who says that's a rule, you can invent the thing that fits you the best ;)
It's made of either stainless steel or brass, also chromed steel. The brass ones are better for slow dance, though the steel ones are slickier. Haven't seen ribbed ones, is it the same stripper pole you mean here? ;)
Hope this helps, have fun ;)

There is no regulation height. Poles can be any height you wish. I've seen some as tall as 30ft! It's your ceiling height that determines the height of your pole.

Width...generally the "regulation" is 2". Although some come slightly smaller. It's a matter of preference.

Poles should be smooth, same width from top to bottom.

Materials are chrome, stainless steal, brass, powder coated and titanium coated.

Prefered metal is brass because it's "soaks" up the oils in your hands which mean you don't need to wipe it down as often.

Stainless (specifically polished mirrored finish) is the slickest...however, using a stainless is like learning to drive a stick...if you can do a trick on a stainless, you can do a trick on any type of pole.

You can get fixed, semi-fixed, fully removable or freestanding stage poles. There's a poll for everyone!

I prefer brass and stainless over all others.

I appreciate strippers in one way by using fact i think of they must have some guts to do what they do I advise dancing and lapdancing with disgusting adult adult males each and all the time. yet on the different side, an conventional stripper makes 800$ a night so i assume they want elementary funds and are kinda lazy of having yet another activity which will pay them much less

My grandmother says that she prefers the brass pole over the wooden ones. Wooden poles tend to give her splinters.
The brass ones however, give her a nasty skin burn.
