I am NOT sexist, I just state my beliefs.

I seriously do not understand why girls get so offended. Being called a man is actually a compliment to me. For hundreds of years the world has been dominated by men and it has only been a short period of time since woman were given rights. For me, being called a man mean I have the strong will and nature of a man. It is actually good because I can stand for what I believe in and still have strength. Some girls just say NO I'M A GIRL!! I honestly don't understand that.

And also, since women have been advancing in these past years, calling a guy girly also clasifies as a compliment. A guy is being compared to the women of the world and considering how now 60% of colleges are filled with woman, that means the man is smart and strong inside...

Some women don't want to be thought of as one of the guys because it means that the 'guys' don't see them as being sexually attractive......more like a sister. Obviously, not every woman minds but most would.

You shouldn't want to be called a guy because of the exact reasons you stated 60% of colleges are filled with women. Its pretty damn good to be a woman. I don't like being called one of the guys in some cases I don't mind but in most I don't want to be called a guy because I want men to remember that I am a woman. I want them to think I am a strong willed woman but definitely a woman. There is nothing wrong with being a woman and I know women who can put men to shame and seem like weaklings.

There are both weak and strong people in both genders. It all depends on how and in what context this is being used in...cant be offended if it used as a compliment.

Adelaide, the fact that women are in 60% of colleges does not make them better than men. I also know men that can put women to shame too. I can tell you personally that I did not need to go to college to become successful. I created my own business/s.

Well, I think they get offended because 1) they are not men and 2) it's as if you are taking away everything womanly when you call them 'man'. And 3)don't you think you are implying a stereotype by what you call 'man' or a 'woman'.

I think you are completely right. Girls I know say stuff like you scream like a girl when my friends are joking around and one of them fake screams. I think when they say that, they are actually insulting themselves, not that I would take it as an insult but it is stupid to say something bad about your own sex.
