I recently have had big ups and downs in weight gain and loss, and now I have stretch marks. I am really embarrassed. I know that they don't disappear, but is there any way to make them be less noticeable or look like I don't really have them? Please help me. I lost enough weight to look good in a bathing suit for summer, I just have this stupid stretch marks. 10 points to the best answer!!!

i got stretch makrs all across the back of my thighs from growing too fast and gaining weight at the same time. I did tons of reserach on it too, and it is impossibl to get rid of them competely without surgery and even with surgery it wotn b perfect.

If they are still red (new stretch marks) raser surgery helps if they are not red (so silvery old stretch marks) surgery does not help too much.

What i do is (since it is my legs) i use self-tanning lotion to make it less visible. It tanns my legs and the stretch marks and i think it is less visible.

losing weight from my experience did the best job in hiding stretch marks and hiding them at the same time!

There's nothing you can really do about them. They will fade over time, but for now you can either have them lasered, talk to a dermatologist for input, or just "hide" them. Try different tanning lotions and such to cover them up, but be leary as they may stain them darker.

Also, no one is really going to pay attention to your stretch marks. I know they feel like screaming blinking signs all over you, but people will be noticing your awesome body from all your hard work. Congrats. :)

Found this on Web MD: http://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/skin-conditions-stretch-marks

I've heard that emu oil will make scars fade. Couldn't find any proof other than it has great healing properties.
