In reality, to men seriously like women who are sticks? Is not the point of being a woman to have fat on her; her breasts, her thighs, her bottom, etc?
Why does society and media look down upon women who are bigger? Not only does this happen to older females but also to younger ones.

Note: I'm not trying to exclude women who are NATURALLY thin. I have many friends who are like that. I am talking about "big" women not being appreciated by today's media/society standards.

The image of beauty in the media tends to lean towards thin, women with narrow, boyish bodies. These women are generally white with blond hair and blue eyes. Women of other races and shapes are underrepresented. Unless of course in pornography where women have breasts that are huge but usually implants but the trend still lends itself to the caucasian blond being the porn star.
In turn, many white women are striving to be thin, brunnetes are dying their hair blond. White men are also looking at the blond haired skinny girl as the image of beauty.
I am not saying that this is true for all white women and men. With that said, I don't know any black people with eating disorders and the black men and other races of men that I have come across are usually into a woman that has a thicker figure. Where as I have many white female friends that are pretty thin and very concerned about being fat. As I have met and been friends with white men that are very critical about a woman's weight. I have met some white men that like fuller women as I have met white women that are proud of their curves but I am going on the majority of the people I have met. In no way am I saying everyone is like that.

Who are you to say what looks good and doesn't? You complain because the media dictates what looks good and what doesn't, which is also find annoying, but who are you to say that women must have fat on them?
I never go on a diet, eat healthy, but hardly ever exercise (which, I know, I should do). Yet, I'm slim and toned because that's the way my body is (and also because I don't eat burgers all the time, and don't try sodas). Are you saying that men ought not to look at me? Because I don't have big boobs? Because I don't have a flabby ***?
I agree that the influence of the media is pretty bad, but that doesn't make you untitled to look down on me. What about girls who are naturally skinny? Those who can't put on weight because of their metabolism? Are they any less woman than the ones who have fat on them? How about those who exercise and like to keep in shape? How about those who have a healthy diet?
I personally don't look good when I put on weight (it happened a few times, when I went to the US for example), but my younger sister looks good even with a few extra kilos. It depends on your body type. Some women have more curves than others; it does NOT mean that they necessarily have to be fat. How about exercise? Isn't that good for your health?
As for what men are attracted to, what is common to ALL cultures are proportions (between your shoulders and your hips), and for Western cultures, a thin waist as well. That's what has been constant throughout centuries.

I don't know. I don't know many guys who are attracted to the "sticks". More think they are gross. Of course, they aren't exactly the other end either. The guys I know like girls with average weight or an athletic build. I think the fashion industry does it, really. Is that true with other guys out there, guys? Maybe just my guy friends are different.
Of course, to be fair, a lot of my guy friends worry that they are too fat. Well, It seems like our society goes more for guys that are thin and muscular. At least, seems like they talk about the "six pack" a lot. And when ever they show a "sexy" guy, he usually has his shirt off and has muscles, no hair on his chest. ( are those real men? ) I don't know, do any of you guys feel that way?

Just how do you define 'big'? It's one thing to be a little overweight; another to be fat. And do you mean skinny or thin? There's a difference.
About being 'big.' Big is not healthy. The heart must work harder & there is an increased risk of diabetes & some forms of cancer. Also, to me, big means the person is a glutton. I am a big person with diabetes & should become thin; I'm trying. So if you're big, pls try too.

I think men like women who take care of their bodies, as women like men who take care of their bodies. You know there is a rather big gap between "big" and "thin", what about the healthy women who exercise, eat healthy and are the ideal shape and size, womanly but fit? It's all to do with hormones, instinctively we are going to want to produce the best offspring we can, right? Someone who looks after their body and health is going to be in better condition to raise offspring and produce healthier offspring.

say thank you to the media. They dictact what is in and what is sexy. Men (and everyone else) are constantly being bombarded with images that say "very thin is sexy" ....
it sucks doesn't it?
way back in the day curvier girls were actually what was sexy-
men naturally are attracted to curvy girls- its the whole primal- baby making thing kicking in- girls with wider hips = good for reproduction. but anywyas- with all the bombardment telling them otherwise- most men won't admit it-
Ie- if they were alone at at bar and there was a curvier girl they thought was attractive- they would most likely go talk to her. If they were in a bar with a bunch of their friends- they probably wouldnt go talk to her-

don't let it bother you. ask pretty much any guy if he thinks Marilyn Monroe was hot & he'd probably say 'yes'-- and she was a size 14.

My thoughts exactly, to anyone who thinks women are pointless, there is a very simple answer:
The point of women is to have fat on them.
Not to mention hair and pee.
Great post.
