It's the concept of creating LCDs with flexible, sheet materials, i.e, plastic, fabric, paper etc.

Prototypes already exist, although R&D for mass production is still in progress.

Most LCDs are made out of glass. Flexible LCDs are made out of plastic, giving its flexibility. LCD devices will be thinner, lighter and will be more robust.

I'm thinking it's a lcd screen like what you see at the bank or on your wristwatch that can be bent. I could be wrong. did you know that there is a company in Japan that is prototyping lcd paint.
