im in varsity baseball and i start most of the time. i was hitting good in the beginning. but im striking out like crazy now and my confidence has gone down the drain.ive tried everything to stop striking out, but i cant get out of my slump. iwas thinking of going back down to jv where i can start hitting again and maybe gain my confidence back and move back up to varsity at the end of the year. wtf should i do?

Do not go down to JV!!! If you are given the chance to play at a higher level - always take it... If you tell your coach that you want to go down to JV, he might send you there and never call you back up... If I were you I would try to clear your mind of all the crap that is running through it and just step to the plate and try to hit the ball hard somewhere... go to the cages and do some extra drills after practice with your coach...

dont do it. if the coach is still giving you a chance, take it and work on your game at the varsity level. who knows if you ask to go down, someone else might step up and take your job. let the coach make the decision on where to put you. dont make it for him.

.the only time you ever want to go down to JV is if you are not getting any playing time other then that just go to a bating cage and get you timing and everything back

You need to grow mentally stronger and get out your head, stay at Varsity, and get your confidence back there....Good Luck...Slugger.
