Who was the highest seed ever to win the NCAA Basketball chanpionship?
Someone said that no one over the 4th seed has ever won.
meaning that the only teams to win were either the 1st,2nd,3rd or 4th seed going into the 64 team bracket.

Villanova was the 8th seed when they won in 1985. The field of 64 began in 1985.
