A tiny bit of sugar disolved on the tongue, followed by a glass of water. Works like a charm.

I get them once in a while. I bite on a pen, pencil or similar device and drink a big glass of water. It works every time.

Not really, I seem to get the hicups when I eat bread. to get rid of them I let a teaspoon of sugar melt in my mouth, then wash it down with a bit of water.

Drink a glass of water, then make yourself go pee. If you can't pee, drink more water. They will stop this way, trust me.
