1960's....and more exactly....if I could freeze time...it would always be 1964-1965.....Beatlemania and everything that came with it...It was such a wonderful and happy time in my life....and I will ALWAYS cherish all of the BEATLE-ful memories and music....It was all so wonderful and I knew even
THEN that it was a special time that I would always look back on with fondness for the rest of my life......and thank you for asking this question, because I always love having the chance
to write about it all!!! =) and I will ALWAYS be so grateful that I got to be born when and where I was so that I could live in this wonderful time!!
I hate the way that the 60's are so often portrayed on just the hippy and drug culture, etc, of the LATE 60's, which is NOT at all what I remember when I think of the 60's..but, for me, things
really started going downhill in America and in all of society.
The current "anti-war" movement and lack of moral principles
and self-restraint truly had its inception in the LATE 60's, and the early to mid-sixrties was truly the END of the age of inno-cence in America, starting with November 22,1963....=(
Beatlemania and all that it brought was really like a last gasp
before the end.....
If you watch movies like GREASE and AMERICAN GRAFFITI
as well as shows like HAPPY DAYS and LAVERNE AND SHIRLEY and even BACK TO THE FUTURE when Marty went back to 1955 which captured some of that innocence that I doubt that America and our society on the whole will ever
be able to experience again....Just as I really CAN'T go back to YESTERDAY....except in my memories....of course....=)

I love everything about the 70's. Hippies and flower children. The music from that decade is the best.

I would pick the 70's, there was just cooler music, and a not so scary place to be in. I was born in 1963, but if I would have been born 10 years earlier, I would have just LOVED it.

70's...I was young...you could be 'free'..(no makeup, no hair cuts/perms/blowdrys) you could wear ugly clothes, knowing that you were in style and everyone else had the same ugly clothes...no bras, no panties, no shoes...you were able to walk the streets of San Francisco ALONE, at NIGHT...Playland on the Beach was still there...(that was a LOT of fun) people walked the streets giving away or selling flowers...(everything smelled like pot, so you didn't really need to smoke it yourself...)
SF when I was 16-21 was THE best....

60's.... I would never have let that teacher pass through my hands/heart again...I made a huge mistake. I should have gone with him. I was gonna graduate and he was waiting.......I goofed.
Cool flare bottom jeans
Trends? we wore crazy things...and said crazier things...
The music...you could even understand most of it.
