That it happens all the time, even at the executive level. Sometimes folks get a degree and their career changes course, or they simply aren't interested in the field for which they studied.

Education is a good foundation but experience is the brick and mortar of your resume.

As long as you have an explanation that makes sense, I don't see that as a major issue.

The bigger issue is do you have the qualifications for the job you are seeking.
