If you get a cold air intake get a brand name like injen and get a cold air that goes all the way down into the fender well also get a high flow muffler or cat back system then throw a nitrous kit on it ...
You get the point a cold air intake is not going to yield any real noticeable power gain ... Your money would be better spent on a nitrous kit or a set of cams.

Overrated, yes, worth it, no. Not unless the engine is built for 100% pure preformance, which its not, and the filter is set to suck in "clean" air and now what is in the engine compartment. air from the engine compartment is hot, and does nothing, if you have your "cold air intake" setup without the fiter being relocated to somewhere else, or boxed off from the rest of the engien, its moreso a "hot air intake" and is actually anti-productive. As the engine gives off mass amounts of heat, it heats the air in the engine compartment to quite hight temperatures at times. Don't waste your money. What is said with up to a 20HP gain or what ever other gimic is thown into the mix, is for the .01% of people who actually race, or are extreme with their vehicle.

Yes it is, for the simple fact that your performance intake is mostly likely a cold air intake that will also increase your fuel mileage and pay for itself over time ( provided you keep your foot out of the pedal 90% of the time) Enjoy!

IF you mostly race it at high engine speeds, fine. If you drive it, the only value is in the looks. $100 for a shiny thingy under the hood? If you have $2000 in wheels, maybe.
