Hello, I'm writting from Spain, recently I was circumcised by a medical mistake, I've been reading and practicyng about the "Foreskin Restoration" by manual methods but I don't like too much, now I've been reading about the "Prepucial Reconstruction", but the point is... a surgeon had say to me, that it wors well and you can recover the sensivity because the glans is cover again, Avoiding the contact with the clothing, and therefore wet which starts a deskeratinization proccess, but another one told me that it is only an esthetic question and it is not usefull to recover the sensitivity... what do you believe?, is there anyone here who had this experience?. Thank you for your help.

I think you would get the best information by talking with a urologist who specializes in reconstructive surgery, to get the most up to date information and advice. I do know that the more surgery done in that particular area, the greater the risk of the loss of sensation. If the nerves are damaged, they are damaged and can only recouperate to an extent. If they are destroyed, or damaged badly, there isn't anything you can do for them. I personally would consider it to be primarily a question of esthetics.
When they performed the circumcision, enough of the foreskin should have been left to cover the glans when in the flacid state. Since the operation was done recently, the increased sensitivity may be only a temporary condition which you will become accustomed to given time. Since you are older, it is only natural to expect you to be more aware of the changes due to the surgery. I'm sorry it was done as a medical mistake, but I honestly don't think in this case there is any going back to the way things were before. And I personally don't think it would be worth the risk of losing everything for a piece of skin. But for the best advice, seek out the urologist with specialization in reconstruction and ask the tough questions.

What a horrible thing to have done to you!

Many guys say restoration is worth all the time and trouble. Take a look at http://www.norm.org for lots of good information. Good luck.

That's understandable, since most guys in Europe (and most of the world) are uncircumcised. As the nurse said above, it's best to talk to a urologist to see what your options are, and what risks it carries. It was done fine to a Canadian guy, I read an article once.

Sue the place for the mistake, sorry I can't tell you about this. I have never had this problem. That really must be painful.
