Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh said, when referring to the torture at Abu Ghraib... "This is no different than what happens at the Skull and Bones initiation and we're going to ruin people's lives over it and we're going to hamper our military effort, and then we are going to really hammer them because they had a good time. You know, these people are being fired at every day. I'm talking about people having a good time, these people, you ever heard of emotional release? You ever heard of emotional release?"

Janis Karpinski, commander of Abu Ghraib during the time, estimated later that 90% of detainees in the prison were innocent.

Is that an okay position to take? Are those statistics comfortable for you? Is torturing innocent people just some more collateral damage?

And to clear the record, I don't blame the individual soldiers near as much as I blame those that ordered them to do these things...and this goes very high up the chain and into the White House.

Dina when was I a moderate Republican? I did say I used to be a MODERATE who was shoved to the left due to this President's rhetoric. And recently someone described something called "Libertarian left", and I said that sounded like me. Where is the problem with that? That flip-flopper attack only works on the weak-minded, but, yes, I do have an open mind on a lot of issues. I can be convinced if an argument is strong enough, it's called l-e-a-r-n-i-n-g, try it some time. Seriously, it's good for ya!

Well, it is true that I rarely if ever lose a debate with people while in person..on this site, that is very difficult. And yes, I do listen...that's how I get 'em...they think that my silence indicates acceptance, then BAM, I come back for more. Not an "aggressive" BAM, more like a "tore your theory to nothing" BAM. And yes, I have been convinced of things when an argument is presented well. Even on this site, I was convinced that mandating HPV vaccinations was not neccesarily the best idea...not my original stance. However, I would love to see where I said I was a moderate repub. b/c that NEVER would have came out of my mouth (or typed by my lil fingers), please source it, I'd love to see it. And, it's amazing that you proclaim to know so much about me...wow, I'm almost flattered...do you dream about me...do you luuuuvvvvv me? :o)

Oh, I figured it out...I answered one of your questions and said that "I LIKE moderate republicans"...not that I am one. Yes, I can like people from the other side of the fence, I just don't like the far-right extremists that have hijacked your party. lol, you crack me up...such a spin doctor you are...you should see if Fox News is taking applications, you'd fit in great.

You're stating what you purport to be a commanders estimate as fact. Estimates are notoriously wrong.
What happened at Abu Ghraib is nothing compared to what nearly every other nation on this planet does to it's prisoners of war (innocent or not) - especially the Islamic nations.
The U.S.A. needed information and they needed it immediately. Even "innocent" people have information that may be helpful to those gathering intelligence. If a person prooves to be helpful and/or not a combatant - they go home. Others do not.
You blame those who had no control over the events, acquitting those who actually performed the acts of so-called "torture."
If a tree falls in the forest, did George Bush do it?

Have you been to gitmo? These people are not "innocent people" They are the enemy who want you and me dead.
If you don't work in the White House, you have no way of knowing who ordered what or why.
I don't always agree wih Rush, but he does bring common sense in a nation gone mad.

So you are a liberal today,
Yesterday you were a libertarian, and they day before that you were a moderate-republican.

Nobody supports that type of treatment, Christian or not.

Why do you think people were found guilty in their court martial?

Funny.... Hillary and Pelosi aren't fighting to free those "innocents." Duhhhhhhhh

I guess they give the thumbs up to whatever "torture" is happening in Gitmo. Why don't you call them?

Limbaugh is a draft dodger and a drug abuser. Why would anyone pay any attention to what this twit says?

Its because Rush is a vagina. I know that doesn't seem to make sense so you'll have to take my word for it.
