The hypothesis for your project is:
By the heat of the sun, the water in the saltwater sample get dried.

(Yeah! it is simple as this.)

Extra info.
When a saltwater sample is kept outside in sunlight, the water in it gains heat and when its temperature raised up to 100 degrees Celsius, it starts to vaporize. Therefore, after few hours the water in the saltwater sample totally vaporizes.
And finally the salt is left.
(It is advisable to use a flat, white surface to carryout the experiment )

Good luck!

a hypothesis is an unproven theory about why something happens.
If the sun dries up all the water in a given sample of salt walter you will have salt left...so your hypothesis would be if a sample of salt water was subjected to direct or magnified solar rays and evaporation of the water occurred, there should be salt left. You could also end up with salt if you distilled the water through solar power and drained it off leaving the salt behind. as well as having distilled water as a product.

the sun causes the water to evaporate leaving just the salt, and if you were stuck on an island and needed to seperate them you could put a cloth over the salt water, let the water evaporate and then ring out the cloth (which would have almost pure water)

Put a cup of salted water outside. Let the sun dry up the water. What you will have left will be the salt. Hope this helps.

evaporationput salt water in a cup, make a tent like struckture over the cup and put serran wrap over the structure, make sure the ends of the serran wrap are lower than the cup is hihg and add a heat lamp over the serran wrap, the heat will evaporate the water and the serran wrap will catch it. and it will dripdown the edges of the serran wrap oh and u have to have something to catch the water after it drips down
