If your 23-year old daughter had an internship with a major corporation, and had spent her summer on her knees, under the desk of the married CEO, would you demand his resignation, or support his retention because he had been a "good," CEO? What if the CEO lied outright about the incident in a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by your daughter?

ND thank you so much for saying Ground for Termination. That is not how a person in the position of powere should act. So now to the real issue why was Clinton allowed to stay in office?

ARE you Liberals so numb not to recognize this as a hypothetical question?

You are confusing two issues and I suppose you are trying to mirror the Clinton scandal but doing a very poor job. Let me clear it up for you.

If your 23-year old daughter (within the laws of consent no problem there, I knew better to behave that way and knew the consequences at that age) had an internship with a major corporation, and had spent her summer on her knees, under the desk of the married CEO, would you demand his resignation, or support his retention because he had been a "good," CEO? (It's none of my business, especially seeing as my daughter is well within consensual age--she should have known better) What if the CEO lied outright about the incident in a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by your daughter (Monica never filed the lawsuit, someone else did...so there goes your logic. Clinton was in a "rape" lawsuit...which never panned out and boy was Ken Starr trying so VERY hard to get him on it, and I don't even understand how consensual sex had anything to do with an issue of rape, but that's Rep. logic for ya!)

However, I would have been kinda concerned that my daughter kept a dirty semen-stained dress in the closet for months...that's a little on the strange side.

First my daughter is not a bimbo because she was reared correctly. My daughter is not a gold digger. She also, although an adult and could consent as Lewinski (you aren't fooling anybody, Sparky) did with Clinton.

Why do Cons keep talking about a small incident that happened 10 years ago that didn't kill anyone, was an act between two CONSENTING ADULTS and where she was A BIMBO AND GOLD DIGGER instead of being concerned with lies, incompetence and corruption that has killed thousands of people? Is it that they don't want to talk real issues so they dig up old tid bits that even at the time most Americans didn't care about. People around the world were laughing at the US for making such a big deal out of that incident. And whats worse, one of the primary accusers was a super hypocrite who was cheating on his wife. (Newt Gingrich) People who live in glass houses should not hurl stones.

She was a grown woman at that time, she should have been smart enough not to fall for that "I've dropped a pen on the floor under my desk, can you get it...and oh, while you're down there" line that Clinton used.

She was Willing. It's her own fault for getting involved. He should have been divorced, not made to resignate. It's yet another reason why women in this country don't get taken seriously when something actually does happen to them.

So republicans really aren't that different than democrats. They got fired up about this, democrats get fired up about the current situation/president. Now, let's compare notes to see which one situation is a little more worthy of the 'panties in a knot' syndrome. Oh, and no pun intended!

I fail to understand your reasoning. So you want liberals to stop talking about AL Gore being ripped off on the stolen election but you want to continue talking rederic about Bill Clintons extra marital affair with a consenting adult, though true he is a married man and should not have done it. Still, I can't help but to wonder where your morality went when our present president started bombing city's that had nothing to do with the attack on the twin towers and sending our troops to attack and kill thousands of innocent people, instead of pursuing and persecuting the actual masterminds behind the attack. I guess your sleeping well at night knowing that the coward we call a president, the same guy that can't account for his time in the military, doesn't know how to strategize his own language properly but he's capable of waging war. You self rightous religious cover up artists don't have a real Christian clue what morality is, 'cause when the son of GOD tells you to turn the other cheek you seem to think that means turn and shoot. Hypocrites, you don't worship GOD you practice the acts of your father the DEVIL.

so I'm guessing you're trying to be witty with this one bringing back 9 year old news and all, and in case you are wondering, you failed miserably. I'm 24, a liberal, have been out of college and working in large corporations for 3 years now and have managed to keep off my knees and away from underneath desks the entire time.

what the hell kind of hypothetical question is this? are you trying to say 23 year old liberals are sluts? are you drudging up sex scandals that happened in the mid to late 90's and were exposed in 98 because you are just hearing of this now? (you do realize it's 2007, correct?) or are you trying to admit to all of yahoo answers that you know nothing about politics? YOU'RE A FOOL!! you don't understand what a liberal is. where do you get your information from? I'm incredibly curious to find out where morons are bred these days.

Ok now lets get to the real issue here... 8 YEARS AGO!!!!! let it go!!! Is this all you have to help support the fact that some kind of corruption is going on in the White House??? Pretty sad defense!!!
And how bout lets set the scene of Rush Limbaugh (your hero) having illegal prescription VIAGRA at an ALL MALES CONVENTION???
Cheney shooting a man in a hunting accident that was NEVER investigated?
Bush Lying to the American people and the UN about WMD's
Bush Lying about the reason we are in Iraq?
All the corporate contractors over in Iraq all have ties with political contributions to Bush and co?
Need I go on?? In other words.. Stop the childish mud slinging to protect a corrupt government!!! This CORRUPTION is as bad as it gets! and all you have is a BJ??? pretty sad!!!!

talking what ifs I hope I have taught my daughter to slap the jerks face and walk away. Unfortunately we live and a he said she said society. No internship is worth that baloney (liberal view point, because we dont' worship big business).
IF this was in reference to Bill Clinton Monica wanted it and testified to the fact. It's only sexual harassment the advances aren't wanted. Honestly don't know who made the first move him or her. However it was mutual.
I would like to think my daughter has enough self respect and esteem that she won't mess with married men at any point in her life.

I know my answer will not be a favorable one, but it has to do with the upbringing of a child, and the value of hard work. Anyone whom places themselves in a position such as that deserves no reprieve for the CEO's conduct. And that's straight up - without being a point seeker. It is the real world lessons that we warn our children of while they are in their childhood, and after making the legal age to decide ones own fate we hope that we taught them well. Stop protecting them from their mistakes and let them learn the hard lessons in life or FAIL altogether.

well... if it was sexual harassment, and not voluntary... then I would support his dismissal...

of course... sexual harassment charges were never orignially filed against Clinton in the Monica case, that I am aware of...

harassment bad... voluntary acts aren't good... but do you realize how many times this happens in a year with all politicans, CEOs and managers?

I mean look at your own parties nominations.. Rudy and Newt aren't golden boys...

I agree with Eaglyfly... if any 23 year old girl spent the summer on her knees, it would be her choice. CEOs lie all the time... they steal, they cheat.. thats what makes them good republicans.
No one forces the girl to do that.. she can leave the job and sue the boss.. he will lie, but his reputation will suffer.
She at least will be able to hold up her head and retain her dignity by walking away from an idiot.
