New England did well in improving areas such as the WR and the LB position with key signings. BUt i have to say that the Bucs went into the Free agency and rilli filled stressing positions.
They needed a QB with veteran exp= Garcia
They needed to bolster their OL= Petitgout
address their aging LB corps= June
improve defensive line= Carter
If the Bucs can sign Mike Doss, then the Safety position would also be addressed

The 49ers will have the biggest overall offseason after the draft with the addition of Mike Lewis and Nate Clements that secondary is almost locked down, through the draft they could add a WR like Dwayne Jarrett or a LB like Paul Posluszny or Patrick Willis and that defense could be very very good... The free agency alone though, I think the Broncos did a great job, Stokely, Graham, Henry, Bly (trade) they have done a great job and should compete next year... The Niners and Broncos would probably rank up there with the Pats, to me, for the best overall offseason...

I think that Denver has done a good job so far. Dre Bly gets to compliment Champ Bailey. With the additions of Travis Henry and Daniel Graham, they should be able to recover from losing their "run play" feet. Also the Brandon Stokley pick up certainly helps them in their quest to defeat Indy this season.
I also like the fact that the Eagles have picked up a few nice additions in Montae Reagor, Kevin Curtis and Takeo Spikes.
Tampa Bay did had some interesting signings as well....Luke Petigout, Cato June and Jeff Garcia.

Denver hands down. They didn't lose anyone significant. The Bly trade is great. Free agency has been good as well. Travis Henry, Daniel Grahm, Brandon Stokely. Great pickups. I especially like the the Stokely signing because besides getting a great slot reciever they also get a little inside information on the Indy passing game to pass along to the D-coordinator. Invaluable in my estamation.

Actually I think Denver and Tampa Bay both had a better run in FA than New England. Other than Thomas, the rest of the Pats signings were OK at best. Although I Would rank all 3 (Denver, Tampa, and New England) as improving their overall teams with FA.

The SF Niners. The Nate Clements signing alone is huge. Plus, they signed Ashley Lelie which is an upgrade over Antonio Bryant. Michael Lewis provides a tough safety in the mold of a Ronnie Lott, Tim McDonald, Lance Shulters, and Tony Parrish.

I think the 49ers improved on defense a lot. They got Nate Clements, who is one of the most underrated big play corners in the league. Also they added Michael Lewis who was always a good player for the Eagles. Talk about upgrading the secondary, which was not a good unit for San Francisco in 2006, it should be a lot better in 2007.

I think the Jets did a really good job with free agency. They got Thomas Jones from the Bears for barely anything in return. I think he will really fill a hole in their offense.

I honestly think that the Eagles will improve just because of the free agency and i think that they should redo their whole defense, just leave Brian Dwkins and Ledo Shepard ( how ever you spell his last name)
