I think the creation from the Bible should be taught right along side evolution. If they want God out of school, then that theory should be out as well (evolution).
If a school is going to teach the Bible---deeper than creation, then I agree it should be an option, not mandatory. There are too many different religions out there---can't force it onto anyone.

Whether you even agree with the religion or not, (I do, by the way,) it is undisputably one of the best sources of historical information and literature from the time periods that it spanned. I think that it would be irresponsible of schools to not utilize it as a source of information, as long as they make it clear that some bias may have been involved in writing it. (Just like any other sources.)
It should be used occasionally in History classes, when teaching about Byzantines and Romans and whatnot, and there should at least be a Religion class where students take a deeper look into it.

I see no problem with an optional theology class. Tons of colleges have them.
As for a mandated religion class at public schools, where religion isn't being taught from a historical, literary, objective perspective, absolutely not.

Bible is a collection of mythological tales. It can't be ignored, as well as the other creeds. It just can't be taught as Science.

Yes. I think they should teach it along side evolution because not everyone believes in evolution, yet they teach it as if it was the only "theory" out there. I think if the bible was taught in school that the kids might be a little more well behaved...

I think a class in comparative religions would be cool. People are so naive about other peoples religion these days.
