I have been using a product called fabuloso on my hardwood floors and its been turning out lovely. However my boyfriend figured he would do something nice for me and he took a mop to the floors with about 30 ounces of fabuloso and not enough water to dilute it... Resulting in nasty filmy sticky greasy grimy floors... I've been cleaning it with just hot water figuring that it would eventually get it all up but I've cleaned it about 10 times now and its a little better but not much... I was wondering if there is an easy way to get rid of the soapy scumy film?

fabuloso is no good- even diluted-it will ruin the floor- trust me -also do you know if it s real wood or a "pergo" laminate -floating floor? big words but if thats the case fabuloso is still going to eventually dull the shine-so go to home depot and go to the flooring section and ask a worker where the "bruce hardwood floor cleaner/stripper" is at -and buy one can and a "swiffer mop-and then go to wallmart and go to the cleaning goods area and get a bottle of "holloway house" floor finish . go home and squirt about enough cleaner to do only a 10 sq ft area-and swiffer that cleaner back and forth-when its finally done-apply the halloway house stuff using the swiffer[new cloth ]in a back/forth motion with the grain of the wood,a lot of work but its all you can do...bye!

You might try a carpet shampooer and just use the water
without the shampoo. This should dilute it and pick it up at the same time. It might take a couple of tries to get it all.
