It's just you!!! Just kidding....yeah, that kinda bugs me too. But maybe they are asking because they know someone who is fond of a name and they aren't, so they want to see if the rest of the world feels the same way they do are if they are just over reacting.

I would have to say that if someone asked me what I thought of a baby name when they are not even pregnant I would most likely think that they had a problem.
I personally did not tell anyone what I was going to name my three children as it is annoying that everyone has an opinion and their opinion usually doesnt go very well with mine.
I actually had my mother in law quite worried with my first child as I told her I liked the name Domino for a girl. I could see by the look on her face that she was thinking 'Oh my god' I let her think that right up until we told her the name of our new daughter. Mean of me wasnt it! She must have been having a cow when we told her we had had a girl, thinking she was going to have a granddaughter named Domino. Ah sometimes it is good to be mean.

Some people like to think ahead into the future, especially newly weds who have discussions about future children or many people who are trying to conceive and are so excited about the prospect of a future baby that they start thinking of names with their spouse. I don't think there's nothing wrong with planning ahead, like my husband and I aren't pregnant but are planning another child and we started discussing names and have had alot of disagreements and finally came to an agreement over a name, we are hoping for a girl. I have a problem with people who lie and play games and people who give nasty mean comments to those who are expecting an honest answer.

I used to work with someone who came up with some crazy-butt name like Zanikapoo while she was in the hospital after giving birth to her. I would rather she had thought out that years in advance before cursing her child with something like that!

That's too funny, I've never known anyone who wasnt pregnant to ask such a thing.
I suppose it could be annoying. I have known people however who were actually pregnant tell me what they were gonna name their kid.I've always suggested Long Duck Dong, you know the foreign exchange student on Pretty in Pink? Nobody's ever done it though.

I think it's you. I'd rather have people take their time when choosing a name for a future baby than the crazy lists people post for their actual children to be with names like LawFaunda Rayene...

It doesn't bother me too much. I just hate it when really young girls do it cause I just dread the fact that they are thinking about it. And most of the time I am happy they aren't having a baby cause their names are ridiculous.

At least they care about their future child enough to think in advanced instead of waiting till the last possible second.
