I'm gonna break this team down by position.
C Barrett
He's OK. But the only good catchers availible this year are Mauer, McCann, Johijima, Hernandez and Posada. So Barrett's a C+ in my book.
1B D. Lee
Personally, I avoid all players that we're injured most of the previous season(Derrek Lee, Matsui, Gagne, Colon, etc.), I mean he is Derrek Lee, so he should be good, but you never know with injured players. B+
2B Iguchi
At 2B, there's Utley, then there's everyone else. I like Iguchi, he gives you and .300/20 HRs chance every season. So not an A, but a B+
3B A-Rod
A-rod, enough said. A(Great job getting A-Rod, Lee, Jones and Zambrano)
SS B. Hall
Led all SS in HRs. Nice guy to have at 3B. A
OF Andrew Jones, Dunn, Francoeur
Big power numbers you got there. But you only got power. No AVG, SBs, etc. In fact, you don't have speed anywhere. So expect to lose in SBs every week. B+(giving you the B+ cuz u either get ur speed in the middle infield or in the outfield, but u have speed absolutely nowhere, so i dicided to lower your grade here for the lose of speed)
UT Konerko
Very good hitter. A
BN Bonds, Thomas, Tavares
Keep Thomas and Tavares. Drop Bonds for a P. Never have more than 2 hitter benchers. The reason I had to drop Bonds because he rests alot and only good for HRs. While I would put Thomas at UT and trade Konerko for a guy like Pierre or Rollins. You really need speed man. And keep Tavares for speed too. But he's not a good starter, just keep him and plug him in when Francouer or dunn are having bad weeks. B- for batting bench
SP Zambrano, Haren, Garcia, Millwood, Lily, Clemens
Drop Clemens and Lily. Bunch of crap those 2 are. Get the someone like Francis, Scott Olsen, or Hensley. Or get Julio. He gonna be the closer for the Marlins this season. Grab him fast. But most ppl don't noe that yet, so he's probably still out there. Zambrano is great, but Haren, Garcia and Millwood are way too shaky All of those guys have ERA problems, and when you have ERa problems, sooner or later ur gonna get hit real bad and not earn wins, and so on with the disaster. Get someone else who has a ERA below 4.10 and hs more than 10 wins. A lot of guys out there like that.
RP Wagner, Gordon, Jones.
Wagner=stud. Gordon's good, Jones is gonna be overthrown by Zumaya or Rodney pretty soon. Try to trade him and Konerko for a serious basestealer and maybe good BA and HRs with that. Like Abreu or Rollins.
Overall grade: 83.
Hope this helped!

Speaking truthfully here and not just wanting to talk with flattery just to get the Best Answer like the other answerers, I'd give this team a 69.
What you drafted is an extraordinary team which is mixed with good steals, good power, and good numbers. So that is what got you the 60+.
But seriously most of these players are veterans, retiring, in old age of their careers, or just plain bad. Like take Ted Lilly for example. He is not going to give you anything so don't expect anything from him. Lose him through your waiver wire for some closers. Then there is Roger Clemens. The guy is like retiring, he isn't as good as he used to be, and he'll only start in like July so I suggest you get rid of him through a trade of the sort.

I would rate your team a 50. I would drop tavares and try to get another ss. Also drop Tom Gordon and Clemens who most likely won't sign with anyone untill after the all-star game. Replace them with a couple of middle relief pitchers. Also keep an eye on Freddy Garcia he may start the season on the DL. Check out the rosters of the yankees, mets, and braves and tigers for the middle relief pitchers.

Looking at your team I must say that I am quite impressed. It is obvious to me that you must be very experienced and possess a great deal of baseball savvy. Your team is among the finest that I have seen this season and I commend you on your choices.
You have assembled a team with a great mix of speed and power, as well as a very solid pitching staff. Although there may be some injury concerns, the depth that you have built into this team is extraordinary. You appear headed to victory and a very satisfying season.
If you haven't done so, I suggest that you look into the possibility of making this more than a hobby. You certainly have some keen insights on the way a baseball team is assembled.
Good Luck 92.5

Well, you have 21 players so ill rate each one 1-5 and think of clemens as a HUGE bonus if he plays in the second half. The only opposition i have to keeping clemens on your team is that he's occupying a roster spot.
Barrett-4 (one of the better catchers)
Lee-5 (no more injury)
Iguchi-3 (middle of the pack)
ARod-5 (one of the best)
Hall-4 (for a shortstop he has a lot of power)
AJ-4 (avg. kills)
Dunn-4 (ditto)
Francoeur-3 (not that great)
Konerko-5 (good power and rbi)
Bonds-5 (good for bench)
Thomas-5 (good power for bench)
Taveras-4 (nice to have extra speed on bench)
Z-5 (big year for zambrano)
Haren- 4 (i dont see a big season from him)
wagner-5 (still one of the best)
jones-4 (he'll get his saves)
gordon-4 (don't know if he's closing or not, 4 if he is)
garcia-5 (al to nl means lower era)
millwood-4 (injury prone)
lilly-5 (al to nl like garcia)
thats 87 out of 100 i think and nobody is perfect (i got 84 when i rated my team) and just becasue i rated bonds and thomas 5's doesn't mean i think they are as good as lee but considering that they are bench options i'd give them 5's

2b , ss , could be a little stronger.
Willy Tavares needs to go , lot more stronger then him.
Your pitching staff looke good especially if you can afford to carry Clemens til the end of May when he will be eligible to pitch.
