My ex gf wanted to go to a certain school but didn't have the qualifications. Her mom ended up calling the school and I guess begging them to take her in. Guess what? They let her in!!! She just had to promise that she would take a night class or two of some highschool courses, and promise also to not let anyone in her program know that they were lenient with her, because it was a difficult program to get into.

As opposed to me! I was put on a waiting list. I had the requirements, but it was a popular program as well, so for whatever reasons other people were placed ahead of me. I ended up joining a band and we got some songs together and gigged locally. That was cool, but short-lived. When I was put on the waiting list a second year, I almost died! Anyway, I just went to a college offering a dumbed-down version of what I was originally going for, and aced that for a year before finally being admitted.

Usually you can reapply. Where you go in the meantime is up to you.

You can go to a junior college for your first semester and get some of your core electives out of the way. Stuff like english, history, foreign language, etc. Stay in contact with the school you really want to go to though. You'll probably have to reapply after every semester. Also its alot easier to transfer to a school than it is to get in as a freshman simply because of class size.

You can reapply, or submit an application to another school, maybe one that might accept you right off the back.

Go to a junior college and start getting your general education out of the way. It's cheaper and will make it easier for you to be accepted into the college you want.
