For example, You are planning a nice afternoon out bike riding but you notice you have a flat tire, so you go get your bike pump to pump it up and for some reason its not where it always is and you cant find it anywhere. So you ask the neighbour if you can borrow their bike pump and ofcourse as you are using it , it breaks. Would this be enough for you to say that karma is telling you not to go? This is just an example, but has something like this happened to you .

I believe it's spelled as "superstitious."

I am, a little. It doesn't hurt to take precaution anyway.

No. If you're going to talk in terms of karma, Buddha once said that no one knows whether he has good or bad karma because karma accumulates from an infinite number of past lives; as a result, the execution of one's karmic past is incredibly complex and no one can predict it... except the all-mighty Buddha, of course! :P

I am not a Buddhist so I don't know how true this story is. I just believe the events in question are effectively independent.

In the case of your story, the main reason I could see not to go out after all those bad things happened is if your mood has soured to a point where you are bound to get into trouble.
