m^3 - 7m^2 - 78m
= m (m^2 - 7m - 78)
= m (m - 13) (m + 6)

x^2 + 5x = -6
x^2 + 5x + 6 = 0
(x + 2) (x +3) = 0
then either x + 2 = 0 ; x = -2
or x +3 = 0 , x = -3
so x is either -2 or -3

m(m^2 -7m -78)

x^2 + 5x = -6
x^2 + 5x + 6= 0
(x + 2)(x + 3)=0

x+2=0 or x+3=0

so, x=-2 or -3

for the second one::
x2+5x=-6
x2+5x+6=0
(x+2)(x+3)
x=-2 x=-3

____________________
for the first one::
first divide all of the numbers by "m"
so...
m(m2-7m-78)
m(m - 13)(m + 6)
