I switched jobs in 1999 and I was laid off during the fall of 2001 right around 911. I experienced my worst poverty that Winter. My unemployment ran out and I was living alone at the time. I didn't want to ask my parents for money so I rationed my food down to about 1200 calories per day. Well, I guess I would be lying if I didn't admit that I thought about suicide. I parked my truck in the garage to make it look like I wasn't home. I didn't answer the phone unless it was a possible job. For every month I was off it was another $1200 that I had to barrow. By the following Spring I was $13,000 in debt from $3000 the previous fall. I finally landed two jobs that April and later I entered a debt reduction program. Since that time I have changed jobs and bought a newer car. My debts will all be paid with in two years and I never asked anyone for a dime. I don't blame anyone for my troubles but I learned that a good share of the construction jobs are B.S. B.S. doesn't pay the bills or pave the way for a decent future. I will admit that I had a couple of friends that stood by me with moral support during this bleak time frame.You would be surprised how people avoid you when times are tough. It is part of the reason why I don't harp on people when they are distressed, you could kill them with the wrong words. It pays to have a kind heart.

My best friend slept with my boyfriend and then said I cheated on him. I not only did I lose my boyfriend and my best friend but all the friends that chose them over me (all of them).
And...
When I was 16 I got my first job and this lady totally bitched me out because I wasn't doing my job correctly. But I was only a trainee and I just happened to be within bitching distance- that was the only reason she approached me. I hadn't even clocked in yet- I was just in uniform. It was my second day on the job.

Accuse me of something terrible and tell everyone I did it. Then finding out the truth but laugh about the whole thing with only one person and NEVER apologizing to me or correcting the statement she made to everyone. Who to this date still think I did it cause she wont tell them otherwise.

I had a male friend that I had wanted for quite a while. I hooked up with him after he told me that he and his girlfriend had broken up. I found out when he thought I was still sleeping that he had lied to me, they were still together. I heard a conversation he was having with his friend that had stopped by. He killed my trust for men for a long time.

I was seeing this girl in school and we broke it off. She made up some horrible nickname for me and told everyone. I was so irritated, it didn't catch on too well, thank goodness.
I still get irritated to this day when I think about it.

When I was a small child walking home from school, a high school boy threw me on the ground and pulled a knife on me, and was going to use it, but a good Samaritan stopped it, thank goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Promising he would never hurt me and he did in less than a month. That is why I told him not to promise something like that and hope no one ever tells me that again:(.

Died before I could tell him how much he meant to me. He was only 21 & fell off a building at work.

Ripped me off on a contract and then complimented me on a job well done and THEN offered me another contract.
