Absolutely. It started for me with the recognition that I alone am responsible for my happiness, not my mate (and him accepting the same responsibility for himself). Then, as partners in life, we do our best to communicate our needs to each other in a loving and non-judgmental way. I know it's cliche, but you can't expect someone to read your mind, and no one can know what you want unless you tell them.

Finding my partner and marrying him has been the joy of my life (not that there aren't ups & downs, but we deal with them). I don't expect my husband to make my life wonderful; we work together every day to make OUR life together wonderful.

When you find someone that wants to travel the path of life with you, it's very inspiring.

I hope that you find what you are looking for, and I encourage you to go make it happen!

Good luck and blessings!

absolutley. at least for me there was. i had a couple of boyfriends during my 20's but decided to stay single for the rest of the time. I went out, had my fun, but really hated the dating scene, it just wans't for me.. Of course I also didn't think marriage was right for me until the man of my dreams walked into my life.. Now i'm livin the good life. :) I love being a wife and taking care of my family. Its the most wonderful feeling. Also having someone here on a daily basis that loves and appreciates me is a super big bonus! I do anything and everything for him because i adore him so much and he treats me the same! going on 6 years now and we still don't fight.. We have disagreements, but we never yell at each other about them.

Marriage is a choice. Whenever you make a choice, you need to make sacrifices.
