between 72-80F. I would google the type of fish you have and check on their individual temp that they like and set the temp at a good average.

This all depends on the type of fish you have, some fish prefer tempratures of around 24 Deg. C, where others such as Discus prefer tempratures of around 30-32 Deg. C.
Personaly I keep Mostly African Cichlids and their tanks are typicaly around 27 Deg. C. However at times higher tempratures are required to encourage spawning or to try to treat various illnesses.
I would refine your question to state what fish you intend on keeping and from there it will be easier to determine what temperature they should be kept at.
One other thing people often do not know is that stability is more important than the actual temparature. For example keeping fish just outside their optimal temprature but constant is beter than the temp going up and down, for example if the tank is in direct sunlight or in a draughty area then temprature is likley to fluctuate.

usually depends on the fish, but most tropicals do fine between about 74-82 degrees
