Rubik's Cube.
Ernö Rubik - Architect, and creator of Rubik's cube, born in Budapest, Hungary.
In 1974 he conceived the idea of a multi-coloured puzzle cube, divided into nine other cubes, each of which will pivot. There are millions of combinations, but only one possible way of getting all six sides to form a different colour.
The cube was patented in 1975, and had become a world craze by the late 1970s.

The Rubik's Cube, invented by Ernő Rubik in 1974, was originally called the Magic Cube. Besides the classic 3x3 version, there is also a 2x2 Pocket Cube, a 4x4 Rubik's Revenge, and a 5x5 Professor's Cube. Larger models, as high as 11x11, are in the developmental stage.
