Great observation -- I work with about a 90% women workforce and boy does it get ugly in that place --
Jealousy I think is a factor -- but also - sensitivity - we are sensitive and little stupid things happen and you are looking at the other women around you thinking. . . thinking - way too much. . . that's they way I see it. . . .
My brain is wired like a man's -- so I am lucky.

Trying to compete for limited resources (in this case, office dominance.) Humans are tribal creatures. For some reason, like other primates, the females fight among themselves while the males only do if they have a physical threat. I prefer not to deal with other women because of it, and I can't understand it.

i think it has to do with jealousy or the other woman may think the other woman looks pretty or something like that. Or they may think they are smarter. so they feel like they have to compete and it ends up as coming out as jealousy.
