Take some time for yourself. You'll need to heal before going out and meeting someone new. Stay away from the bars, get involved with an evening class at a local college, connect with friends, family. Realize that the feelings your having will lesson with time, and that everyone at some point has gone through the same. Don't be afraid to ask for help, if you seem to dwell on it more than you should.
Would you like it if you were a rebound?

I've survived, you can too.

Rebounding is not the answer here ... First of all you need to start to heal and get past things. do positive and fun things for you and keep smiling no matter what.Life will go on and things will get better over time. Good luck to you and here comes lots of hugs your way today. Make new friends and meet new and fun people. Live life to the fullest every day. My aunt always says this too shall pass.

It really depends on how you cope with the situation. Some people move on by changing the way they look - get a haircut or a boob job. Some people will change their career or move to another location to start anew. Some people will look for another bf/gf.

In my own opinion, evaluate what you really wanted to do with your life after the break down of the relationship. Definitely give yourself time to heal. Time itself can heal the heartaches that you have just been through. Put your energy to what you are most interested in. Make a list of those things that you wanted to do that you weren't able to. Take time in looking for another partner.

I know it is hard, it is hard for all of us humans who are willing to take a chance at love. I have found that if I realize so many times in my life, when I didn't get what I wanted so badly, it actually worked out for the best. So you have to trust fate now, I didn't married the wrong guy 30 years ago, had 2 kids, and icky icky my life has been.

Friends can be a huge help in getting over someone, good connected friends I mean. Friends who will lift you up when you need it and cry with you when you need that too.

Good luck!
