A lot of talent that needs to mature

College is definatly not going to help him, he needed to go straight to the real world and have more talented players around him to keep him grounded

Could have problems in college out of boredom but the right coach should be able to mold him in the NBA

he'll be fine, just needs to get away

Hey he may have a lot of talent but he is way to full of himself. I mean when u get kicked out of the game 4 roughen up the ref and throwing the ball in the stands after you scored is wrong. Maybe other stars had those problems, but not many got in trouble with the law like O.J. did. The sad thing is he has a lot of talent he just needs to cool down or he might turn out like mello (who is not all bad) or even ron artest.

NO O.J. Mayo is a hard working athlete who excels in school as on the basketball court.

OJ Mayo is going to be a problematic basketball player in the future. He has already been arrested for possesion of marijuana. He has been suspended for bumping a ref during a game. He has been criticized for throwing an alleyoop to himself with his team up 40..then grabbing the ball and throwing it in the stands after he made the dunk. The guy is going to go to USC and USC is not necessarily known for having good discipline. Tim Floyd has never been a disciplinarian and going to be a head case.USC runs up and down the floor with reckless abandon and that is what cost them the game against UNC: No discipline. He is talented enough to make it to the NBA but I see him being the second coming of Ron Artest and not Lebron James as he was herald as a couple of years ago. I am no longer a believer that talent prevails...you can be talented but if you are immature you are just another basketball player who gets paid tons of money but gets in trouble. Mayo only hopes to be as good as AI..cuz even if he becomes that good, he has to be more mature to be great. I dont see that happening anytime soon...even Kobe had to grow up. (or needs to depending on opinions)

are you kids joking. oj mayo would be a starter in the nba next year. hes quick, can shoot, athletic, good defender, but most of all he knows how to play basketball the right way. the kid is cocky but how many future nba millionares are not? this kid can play.

i can see where you are coming from. i agree i thin he will be interesting to watch to say the least. i think o.j. mayo got publicized too early. HE'S ONLY IN HIGH SCHOOL. HE HAS TO BE COCKY. i can imagine him being like Carmelo Anthony.

to answer the question, he appears to be something of a punk, but apparently he has a lot of game to back it up...plus, tim floyd has backed this kid up all the way, so i'll take his word for now...but certainly this guy will be very interesting to watch next season

yep. he is really more trouble that he is worth. i mean he is super talented, he can pass and score like there is no tomorrow. he is crazy athletic. but you can tell he will cause tons of problems in college and nba. as a HS kid he is getting busted by cops for poessession of marijuana. when he gets some millions just think of all the crazy stuff he will do.
