I whole heartily agree that Sanjaya has to be voted off soon. I am so sorry Sundance and Stephanie were both axed, I like them both. And to see someone that can carry a tune leave, and Sanjaya with his horrible singing stay every week is an insult to the show. Like Simon says, it is a singing competition, not for who is "cute", or has a nice smile. I too think Melinda and LaKisha are the best singers, one and two respectively. And I truly believe that if the show is going to be sabotaged by a "bad talent" group to hurt Fox network, that the judges should be the sole ones to choose the best American Idol.

I think people are voting for him to make a mockery of the show!
Sanjaya Malakar, 17, is from Federal Way, WA. He auditioned in Seattle with his sister, who was eliminated at the Hollywood stage of the competition. Sanjaya says he started singing as a little boy and had formal singing training.
Sanjaya, who spent four years performing with the Hawaii Children Theater, claims he is a shy person and says "I'm scared that I'll never be able to walk into a supermarket without someone recognizing me." His music idol is Stevie Wonder.

I totally agree. He SUCKS. I know it's like disloyalty for me, sort of, because I'm Indian too, but I can sing. HE CAN'T. The reason why he's still in is because of this website: www.votefortheworst.com . People are just trying to make AI into a joke, which is totally ridiculous. I think the judges should give scores which count for something in the elimination (like Dancing With the Stars) because if he stays in one more week, I will scream even louder than I did last week (which was pretty loud). It sucks that good people are being voted out because of him. Anyways, my favorites are Gina, Blake, Melinda, and Jordan. And pretty much everyone except Sanjaya!!!!!

there are 2 things people are not getting here
1. if they keep telling this boy (17) he is good and he is believing it because he is now cocky on the show and mouths Simon. then he is going to really be destroyed maybe even so much he may not want to go on with his life when he sees how everyone is using him as a joke and no one wants to here his songs for real..
2. if he gets through then loyal fans of American idol will stop watching the show because it will be just a big joke and not about the talent and the people who can sing. and that would be sad too.
i don't care if he is gay or not but the poor boy cant sing and he really needs to either be voted off or be smart enough to know he is being made fun of and just go home on his own and save what little bit of dignity he has left...

Please vote for the best singer!! Sanjaya is the worst and he is still in the competition. Melinda and Lakisha are the best in my opinion. They deserve the chance to make it big. They are more deserving than Sanjaya just for their talent.Please don't keep Sanjaya!!

everyone is voting for him because hes horrible, and I guess there is a website where everyone votes for the worst so they can mess it all up to see if Fox would change it. At least that's what I heard
