We are going to Sea World in two weeks and I just wanted to see if it is dangerous or not.

I don't think its very safe but that is my opinion. Not only are you putting yourself at risk for "possibly" getting hurt, but you also put your self at risk for catching certain bacterial organisms or parasites. Giardia is a common one that people get from swim parks and you definatly don't want to contract that while you are pregnant...
Maybe you could go and just wade in the pools that they have there instead, or walk around in the sprinklers that they have.
Being pregnant doesn't mean you have to have your fun taken away, you just need to be more conscience about what you do .

Some...not all.

Some people say that the chlorine can get into your body and kill the baby. That is a myth, first of all. Second of all, yes, you can get on some of the rides. Things that allow you to lounge around (like the river ride, where you float around in an inner tube...or a wave pool where you can get in the water, but control the amount of people you are around) are the best.

The reason why they have the signs that say no pregnant women allowed to ride is because most rides have a risk of some sort of impact to the mother, and it could hurt your baby. So take it easy when you go...(and have some fun!)

If you go to an amusement park while pregnant, make sure to take it easy and keep full of lots of fluids. There are certain rides you should avoid at an amusement park while pregnant. typically roller coasters and spinning rides, or rides with jerky movements. Many parks will actually prohibit a pregnant woman from riding such rides. . The danger with these types of rides is that the rigorous activity on these rides creates additional jarring forces within the uterus that may lead to premature separation of the placenta from the wall of the uterus. The water rides are safe if they dont jerk so much!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

Doubtful, but at each ride, there should be a sign posted that will say who can not ride it (people with heart conditions, pregnant women, etc.) I went to an amusement park while pregnant and the only thing I could ride was a Dora the Explorer train in the kids part!

My advice would be to avoid many of the rides and just enjoy the other attractions of the park. I don't actually know of the technical medical restrictions, but I did pass on an invitation to an amusement part during my pregnancy. "Better safe than sorry." I wish you the best in whatever decision you make. If you do participate in rides, just be aware of how you feel physically-if you begin to hurt, or feel funny be sure to get checked out immediately just to be sure everything is okay. My intention was not to scare you...a woman's body is made to protect the unborn baby.

If you are going to Sea World in California, I know that Shipwrecked Rapids and Wild Arctic are both very bumpy, and Atlantis has a strong head first drop. I would avoid these at all costs. There are always warning signs posted on dangerous rides. Avoid them, avoid them, avoid them, it's not worth it for a few minutes of fun. Besides, with Atlantis, who wants to climb all the way to the top pregnant anyway? LOL.

Most parks have warnings about pregnancy and rides. If you knowingly partake of a ride and something happens you will have absolutely no recourse (ie lawsuit), if on the other hand you were to tell one of the ride attendants that you were pregnant and he said it was safe and something happened then you could sue the pants off the park the owners of the park etc. But if you say nothing and it can be proved that you were aware of your pregnancy you will be Shitouttaluck and possibly no longer pregnant.

I wouldn't think it would a problem unless the drops are to steep. All theme parks have their own rules about pregnant mother riding the rides. So, I would said check with them before you try to get on any water rides. Don't let it stop you from having fun if you can't get on any of their water ride. Its for your and the baby protection, as well theirs.

Look at the signs in front of the rides. Most of them will probably have a "Don't ride if Pregnant warning". If you have any doubt about a ride, don't. It is not worth losing your baby over.

The rides will have a warning posted if they are considered unsafe for pregnant women, those with pacemakers, heart conditions, etc.... You probably won't be able to go on much, though, to be honest.

I hope you have fun, either way!!!
