He supports Habitat for America which makes low cost housing for people. Somehow they may wonder why he isn't an expert on house building or something. He doesn't have to be an expert. The rules are that even home owners to be must be willing to help build their own home. Carter is a do as I do not just do as I say kind of person. He is a good man. He won a Nobel Peace Prize for brokering peace between Egypt and Israel through negotiation and without military intervention. That peace still is in affect today.

I ask myself this same question sometimes, and I am still searching for an answer. I do know his brother had something called "Billy Beer"... at least I think he did, but that tells me nothing about Jimmy's homebuilding skills.
Peanuts were in there someplace, too. You can bet that Jimmy Carter has not picked up a hammer in 50 years.

Jimmy Carter is admired for his project on building homes for humanity and his critics on the other side of the political fence are not pleased but instead make a bad image out of it.

Some say he wasn't a very good president.
Maybe his housebuilding skills are better, personally I don't know Mr. Carter, so I really couldn't answer your question with 100% certainty.

Jimmy Carter's only fault was that he was too good of a man and too honest of a man to be the President.

He gives alot of money and poses with for photos to help with the Habit for Humanity where they help build houses for the low income.
Of course due to his age he is not really able to do that much physcial any longer, but he really cares for American people, the poor and all people.
Probably a really poor president, but a really great man, a wonderful Christian and one of the best EX presidents we ever had.

Because, since his retirement as President, he and his wife Roslyn have worked tirelessly with Habitat for Humanity and helped build homes for poor people all over the world.

he is one of the finest human beings around.
he was a hard=working, sincere, honest president.
and, nothing, NOTHING went right for him.
uh, mostly not his fault.
Winston Churchill retired and built walls. president carter is building houses for people.
carter is not perfect. Sometimes he is wildly wrong. but he is a good, decent, intelligent, hard-working christian and god bless him.
