At 5 wks i have told my mom and sisters, but no one else. And I feel kinda bad becuase everyone and their uncles knew we were trying, lol. I even feel I should have told a few of my close friends. But I keep getting advice to wait till 8 or 12 weeks. I can see why I would wait to tell my boss, since he's an @$$. And I know if I tell a few friends, they may tell a few of their friends and so on. It wouldn't bother me to have people know, since we are thrilled, after 10 months ttc!
What do you all think?

this is your time, you tell who you feel like telling at the time you think is right for you.
Its nothing to feel guilty about. Some people get worried that if they tell people too early that somthing bad might happen. So they prefer to wait a few months or so.. For me, I was just so excited, that I told everyone right away. I can't hold suprises very well though.
Its totally up to you though. Congratulations on conceiving!

I personally waited because of the fact you still have the chance of something going wrong. My best friend and i(15 at the time) were pregnant at the same time. My baby survived but hers she miscarried. We told everyone together at 6 weeks and it was a mistake because she felt all the hurt from all her friends and it is very painful!!! So if you know the baby has a good chance of surviving tell people at 8 weeks. But if you dont then get and ultrasound and see if the baby is good then tell people when you are 12 weeks!! No matter what it is your choice!! GOOD LUCK

I found out at 3 and a half weeks and told my mom. My mom got too excited and told EVERYONE, lol. I still feel like I should've waited but whats done is done. Do it when you are ready. There is nothing wrong with securing the news for yourself first. Congrats!!!!!!!!

we found out at 6 weeks and told our parents, and decided not to tell anyone else untill the 12 week mark.
People have told me before that its a jinx to tell people before the 12 weeks point, but its completely up to you.

well thats totally up 2 u when u wanna tell more of ur friends and family
there is ppl out there who wait till after they past the 3 month mark
after ur first trimester ur chance of miscarriage goes down
so thats when ppl sometimes wait
I didnt lol
i was way to excitied!

i told my mum and dad at 5 weeks preg. and my boyfriends family at about 7 weeks then we told some close friends between 7-8 weeks but my boyfriends sister was the one who told everyone!!! and i mean everyone!!! we told our family and friends to keep it to themselves for awhile just to be sure nothing went wrong. So i think tell who you want when you want as long as you and your partner both agree and watch out for who you tell make sure they dont tell the rest of the world your news. its your good news you should tell ppl!!!!!!!
