Anyone with experience on debates???
I am presenting my first debate for an assignment. I need:
1.) tips for cross-examination questions
2.)ways to make the other personlook bad w\o getting expelled
3.)Any other hints you may have
4.) Any websites that could help me with this

My topic is: "Should Illegal immmigrants be given amnesty?" And NO I am NOT racist, but I am against them recieving it.

Let"s reduce the debate to real cross-examinations. A lawyer becore accepting a case to defend must choose between emotional gratification, say giving way to love one who is the opponent so she can decline the case. So she must proceed with the cross-examination disregarding personal relationship.But what is the case supposed to be as subject of cross-examination? is it murder? theft? statutory rape? Examples can be seen from law books on Trial Tecnique availabel in law book stores. In web site, try cling trial technique/

do you know your topic yet?
all i can think of apart from knowing your side of the topic well, is to pick apart whatever they say to make them look unreliable and wrong.
