Is it true that some of motels have a 2 way mirror or hidden camera that some bad people use for scandals?

about ten years ago my friend and i went to a tanning parlor like that. the lady was russian, and kept telling my friend and i the benefits of tanning naked. i am fair skinned, so i dont tan so long, and i finished first. i went into my friends tanning room to tell her i would be out in the car, and a man with a camera ran out a second door in her room when i walked in. true.
