Can I travel with my wedding dress in a vacuum storage bed?

I am travelling to Greece. It's a long flight. I was told a vacuum storage bag would be best.

Vacumm bag wud be ideal only if u want to have xtra space in ur luggage, it also wud cause creases.If u want to transport a wedding gown, perhaps u can juz fold em onto ur hand luggage instead of a vacumm bag.It really doesnt make much of a difference if u want to put it in ur hand luggage or check in luggage.But vacumm bag definately save space.If u use vacumm bag, u'll need to do it slowly so that it wudnt crease so much.But then again, u can always get someone from the hotel to "iron" it out for u.Congrats btw :) Now am wondering how ur dress looks like...LoL...

I wold personally put it in a suitcase on its own, and then of course it may need a little ironing or sth. But a vacuum storage bag sounds OK too.
