my dress is cream ivory light yellowish so should i wear black heels or white heels? or try to find heels that are the same color of my dress?

also, would it be too much if i wore a pearl necklace along with dangling earrings with 5 pearls? is that too pearly?

thanks!

Same colour as the dress, preferably, or else something so light and strappy that there would almost no material to speak of! The pearls sound a bit over the top - go for the earrings or the necklace - not both. Enjoy your prom!

You can wear black heels if they are strappy, but if they are more like pumps with solid black color, then it'll draw the attention to your shoes and away from your dress. The white shoes are a little bit better, but as long as they're not a matte white color. The best would be for you to find shoes that match your dress.

As for pearls, if your pearl necklace is a very thin strand of small pearls that are worn right around your neck OR are really long strands that you can loop around your neck a couple of times, that should be fine... But if the pearls are really big, then yes it might get a bit "pearly".

Go with the same color, or maybe a really light pink. Black would just not look well put together and white would look just a little too off. If you cant find light pink or ivory, maybe you could even go with those clear sort of shoes or gold?

And as for the pearls: I'm not sure I would have to see myself, but I would just go with your fashion sense!

I think gold heels might look nice with the ivory. Black could be very nice too if you decide to incorporate black into the accessories.

I think the pearls really depends on the look of the dress. Is it a more retro/classy look, or modern? I think if it's a classic/retro dress the pearls could compliment it well.

It all depends on the look you're going for.

Find ivory heels. Dahling....you can NEVER have too many pearls. ;D Wearing 2 sets of opera length pearl strands looped around several times in varying layers is just stunning. Pearls just SCREAM elegance and decadence. Isn't that the look that you want for prom?

Places like bridal shops and even Payless will custom dye shoes for you to match your dress. The best part is after the prom, you can have them redyed to a darker color so you can wear them again. If you wear your hair up you can get away with the dangling earrings, as long as your necklace isn't a choker.

Wear gold heels. Gold/bronze looks great and is in style. Whatever you do, don't wear black. I think it will be too dark for what you're talking about, especially if you want to wear pearls. If you're wearing pearls, go with the white. But I still suggest gold with different jewelry.

no---actually I wore pearls w/ a dress that sounds similar to that. It looked fine. Also--I wouldn't wear black--it would stick out too much. Try to find a cream color or something close to it.

I don't think that five pearls are too pearly, a girl can never have enough pearls! As for the heels check out this site.
