hey, well i am 39 weeks pregnant and my doctor has found blood in my urine 3 times now throughout my whole pregnancy! Go figure each time, for a different reason... My first reason was i had in inefection * UTI * second reason was I had a cyst on my right ovary that was full of blood.. And the third reason my doctor said it was red blood cells. Which is usually the most common reason.. My doctor told me that our red blood cells do not alwys stay in the most perfect little circle, they could break at anytime which is nothing to worry about at all!!
But i hope your doctor is looking more into it.. You should of been like UHM HELLO BLOOD IN MY URINE WHEN IM PREGNANT?!?! haha well atleast that is what i did! i get worried so easily and that just didnt help. Call your doctor tomorrow morning and see if they looked further into it..
If it was a UTI ( urinary tract infection ) i would of thought they would of told you that they would think that is why you had this and they would send it into the lab.. so i think that one is out of the question..
What they might be or should be doing is.. talking about it among other doctors and most liekly going to be scheduling you to get more testing done. The testing that they will most likely be doing is.. getting your blood drawn.. this is to get a blood count mainly for your white blood cells, a high number of white blood cells is a sign for infection.. Another thiing they should be doing is a ultrasound to check your ovaries and other organs!
Good luck with everything! and make sure you get to the bottom of it :-)

Blood might be from anyplace from the kidneys to the urethra. It might rely on another signs. You ordinarily imply a cystoscopy that's a appear at your urinary bladder via a scope up the urethra. Less at ease for a feminine than a male, however typically uncomfortable. You would possibly not want a cystoscopy if the blood is out of your urethra. Not realizing your age institution and different elements it difficult to bet what the intent of the bleeding might be - even though it might be melanoma of the urinary bladder if the Dr indicates the scope. Though I would not fear - how so much blood are we speaking approximately right here?

Usually it is a sign if infection, if there is no sign of infection usually they will send you for an ultrasound to check for kidney stones. Those are the two main causes of blood in urine and both are more likely to happen during pregnancy.
EDITED TO ADD:
In rare cases if the infection becomes blood borne it can cross the placenta and cause a miscarriage. In later pregnancy it can cause preterm labour as well.

I had a urinary tract infection and that caused some blood in the urine. A course of antibiotics and it was gone. If the doctors aren't worried don't stress about it, it's probably nothing.
UTI can cause preterm contractions and possibly lead to preterm labor if left untreated. Blood in the urine by itself wouldn't cause a miscarriage.

it sound like you might have a bladder or kidney infection, kidney stone, or could be diabetes, your doctors know what to test for to rule out these conditions. don't stress yourself out over this, as long you take care of yourself and your unborn. Then you're doing good!! good luck!
