The best answer is the Los Angeles Lakers
they are a franchise used to winning that need a consistent second scorer to put with Kobe and they also need to improve in rebounds and defense which KG is great at
Garnett needs a supporting cast and the lakers have that in place and Garnett wouldn't have to be the man all the time but can let Kobe take the scoring burden off of him so he can be a great rebounder, defender, and passer and fill in his offense as the 2 of the 1/2 punch
Also Phil knows how to coach and can guide that team to a title which is what KG is playing for

Dear Chill McB,
i think for everything that Garnett has done for him to leave Minnesota he'd have to have a chance to win the NBA title. The Lakers are a good fit for him because he owns property in Los Angeles and is great friends with Kobe Bryant.
One of the knocks on Kevin is that he seems to disappear in the 4th quarter, in the clutch. Putting him with the most clutch player in the NBA takes that pressure off of him- and chances are with Kobe and Garnett they won't be in too many last second situations.
The Lakers will have other role players: like Luke Walton who don't need that many shots, and i think the fact that both Kobe and Garnett demand a double team will make the triangle flow well. Plus with a big man you need a guy who can hit the mid-range jumper (KG!)
It would make the Lakers instead Championship contenders and i think Garnett would enjoy playing in a big market.
If the Lakers could get KG without giving up Lamar Odom they could put him at the 3 and it'd be dangerous. If they had to give up Lamar they would probably still have young developing Andrew Bynum. They'd have a chance to win three or more rings over the next 5 years.
I think the Lakers might be able to get him without giving anything up because he can opt-out of his contract- so Minnesota really should have traded him before the deadline.
It's a likely scenario because Laker management knows that the fans can not tolerate being a 43-48 win team and getting to round 1 or 2 of the playoffs.

lakers would be a nice fit as most people are saying. also another team that i think really needs KG is my team, the warriors.
the big piece that the warriors are missing is an athletic(meaning able to run up n down) power forward who can rebound. the reason why the warriors have bad defense is because they cant rebound and get killed off 2nd chance points. example: see laker game last week. the warriors were outrebounded by 30 which led to 30 points. if the warriors were able to help andris with rebounding, they win that game easily even with kobe scoring 43. the warriors have the scoring, they need the rebounding and defense. KG fits that mold perfectly. we dont need KGs scoring although it would be nice to have a down low scorer besides andris. KG would open up shots for our many talented swingmen and baron davis will create plays and easy scores for KG and Andris.
the only way the lakers get KG is if KG demands a trade there. the lakers dont have any pieces the wolves would want besides Kobe. odom is not enough for KG and the lakers dont wanna give bynum so there is no deal there. but with the warriors, we have so many talented and young players that we can trade.
Jermaine Oneal fits the mold too, but you get the idea, we need a athletic PF who can rebound and play some defense.
tyson chandler works too.

anyone that says the lakers, does not know anything about the politics of basketball...if u trade a star player, you trade him to the opposite conference, so you dont face him that much in a year and they dont decide in the more important games...ex:Shaq, TMac, and Iverson
Also you would need to consider what Garnett wants, which is to play for a possible contender, but not make it seem as though he is solely searching for a championship, so that throws the Heat out of the picture.
Next one must consider what the T-Wolvess want, which would be a star caliber player who can help them win games my top possibilities are as follows:
(1) Boston: if they draft Oden or Durant, they could package many of their young players, such as Jefferson, Green, Telfair, etc in case Minnesota wants to start over, or trade Paul Pierce and some others if Minnesota wants more success now than later
(2) Cleveland: who doesnt want to play alongside LBJ and they have the cap to sign Garnett in free agency if KG opts out, but no trade bait at all
(3) Washington: Just like LBJ, KG has expressed intrest in Arenas and the wizards could trade young talents Andray Blatche, and Jarvis Hayes alongside Jamison and/or draft picks

I think that the Golden State Warriors would be a good fit for Garnett. With Barron Davis and Jason Richardson, they need a big man that is good. Sure they have some decent big men but they will not be able to contend without a dominant big man.

an up tempo team like the suns. garnet can run, handle, pass and hit the shot. i think seeing a 7 footer run the floor would be a good thing.
how about the central offensive peice down low with the bulls? with the amount of perimeter offense around him, he can always make the pass out of double teams. and with hinrich out there, he will get the ball.

No doubt the Nets or the Knicks need him. Nets need a dominant rebounder and scorer, in which they dont have, they always have to go to VC at the end of the game when they are in win-lose situations. Knicks kind of need one beacuse they don't have a consistent big man on the court all the time.

He need to play for a soft team because that's what he is SOFT. Also he is not a number one option!
