I'm all for it. I think it is a lot easier to grill a steak, instead of the whole cow.

I personally never really liked to do it when I was in High school. It always made me a little queasy, I never really found it useful. Recently I took an Anatomy & Physiology class....luckily I had to go TDY for a month so I missed the Cat dissection lab. Looking at dead bodies, anything human like that (i.e medical examiners office, watching an autopsy, etc) doesn't bother me, but for some reason dissecting animals always did. Maybe its because you're actually having to do the work yourself and not just watching.

I found it fascinating
I cut up a pig, and a cat while taking my pre RN classes

It is necessary to be able to look at the tendons, muscles and learn to not get so squeamish

I think it is good to open an animal and learn instead of opening a human without that knowledge.

Personally, I'm not all for it because I'm Buddhist and I was taught to not play with a body after it is "dead". However, I am also a biolgy major so I know it is required for scientific purposes.

I think if the animal was already dead it is a great way to learn about animals but if we kill the animal to study it..thts wrong and kinda sad =[
