They were supposed to be so good, but pple don't have them on the top five QB's or WR's in the draft. Dwayne Jarrett was supposed to be the second best WR in the draft after Calvin Johnson, and Troy Smith won the HEISMAN!!!!! Why no credit???

Well thats because size and speed is everything in the NFL now these days. Troy Smith doesnt't have the size for a Franchise QB and Dwayne Jarrett doesnt have the speed for an NFL wide Receiver. Though i think jarrett is going to be more successful than all the receivers in the nfl draft this year besides calvin johnson.

winning the heismann means sh1t in the NFL. troy smith is short and he just showed in the national title game that he cant handle the speed of the sec. if he cant handle the speed of the sec how is he going to handle nfl speed which is even faster? smith is a good college QB, but nothing more than a backup in the nfl.
jarrett is a good possession receiver, he lacks good WR speed thats why people have him falling so low, late first to mid second. when i think of jarrett i think of keyshawn johnson, possession receivers. they will never be deep threats.

To be an NFL quarterback there are certain physical attributes you have to have such as size, arm strength and accuracy. Smith isn't your typical quarterback for NFL standards and can be compared to a Kordell Stewart or Akili Smith type caliber. His mechanics aren't up to par with Russell or Quinn either. Just because he won the Heismann doesn't mean he is a better fit for the NFL. The Heismann is based on stats and if you gave Quinn Ohio State's Receivers and Defense then he easily would have one the Heisman.
Jarrett will be a late 1st rounder to early second rounder. This year's receiver class isn't as good as in recent years and his 40 speed hurt him. Especially after everyone say the freak of nature in Johnson.

people knew tryoy was going to fall in the draft because hes to short for QB at 5'11. Dwayne i think its because hes not blazing fast but he is listed as a top 5 WR and should be a first round pick.

troy smith because of his bowl performance, poor scouting combine, and short height. i think jarrett is discredited cause he's heading into the nfl a year early. i feel he's a great wr, but i question whether he's ready yet. i have a feeling that he's going to be another mike williams of the lions, or well, used to be on the lions. thats just my hunch though.

What about Chris Leak? He won the national championship and hes predicted as a 6th or 7th round pick. This guy may not have a cannon like Jamarcus but his accuracy is as good as Manning.

Sometimes there are other factors that will cause a highly touted rookie to not recieve his due in the draft. Sometimes that information is not made public.
