Istanbul.
Originally called Byzantium by the Greeks who settled there. When the Romans ruled it, it was called Constantinople. When the Turks took over, it was eventually named Istanbul.

It was never called Byzantine. That was just the name of the Era and the Empire. During the Byzantine Empire it was called Constantinople. Constantine moved the capital of the Roman Empire to the inlet of the Black Sea and named it after himself, thus a new era began which split the Roman Empire in two: East and West.
The Turks invaded the city and renamed it Instanbul. The Turks are what the people of the Ottoman Empire were called, which were also technically Muslims. They weren't just called Turks because they were from Turkey...which didn't exist back then...historians called them the Turks because that is where the captial of thier empire was: Instanbul...which is now Turkey.

Istanbul was Constantinople
Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople
Been a long time gone, Constantinople
Now it's Turkish delight on a moonlit night
Every gal in Constantinople
Lives in Istanbul, not Constantinople
So if you've a date in Constantinople
She'll be waiting in Istanbul
Even old New York was once New Amsterdam
Why they changed it I can't say
People just liked it better that way
So take me back to Constantinople
No, you can't go back to Constantinople
Been a long time gone, Constantinople
Why did Constantinople get the works?
That's nobody's business but the Turks
Istanbul (Istanbul)
Istanbul (Istanbul)

It's still Constantinople and it's still a Christian city. We just need to kick the Turks out and back to mongolia.

whilst i grew to become into youthful I knew i needed to be a father of three young ones. If I had a boy or boys i could want to call them Zulu (i'm a white South African born and noted in Natal that's a Zulu section.) I liked that call because of the fact i could connect it to Zulu Warriors... or Michael because of the fact for some reason i in my opinion liked that call... If it grew to become right into a woman or women i could have needed to call her Jemma or Annie...i don't understand why,yet i in my opinion love the two names. i finished up having one son and that i've got yet another one on the way. My son is named Abraham Benjamin which i admire now yet this grew to become into because of the fact i could not call him Michael because of the fact my brother inlaws call is Michael and my Aussie inlaws hated the belief-approximately naming my toddler Zulu. My 2nd son would be named Matthew Donovan. i've got not got any women yet so i would be unable to assert on that front. In a manner my call selection replaced slightly (for the Zulu area) yet not probably because of the fact my sons would have classic names.
