received a bill of mine 9 (in my name) and opened it, which i know is a federal offense. I have a pending case with them. Our family judge ordered them to pay the bill. I want to take further action. Can someone offer any advice???

If they paid the bill, that's a bonus. Don't create a fuss until after your case is settled. There's plenty of time to do that later.

You can try a lawyer , but remember , you will be going against the state government ...if you rock the boat , and have a pending case , you may sink to the bottom , and proving your case had a negative outcome as retaliation for filing action against them will be very hard to do ... plus it may cost you more than it is worth .

Seek ACLU if what you say is true they have also violated your civil rights(privacy act). You can also seek low or no cost legal services in your area, you just need to look for it. Good luck !

BTW - how do your bills get mailed to CPS? sorry not to offend just wondering its a first that I heard of.

Contact the Post Office and make an official complaint.

Call the Post Office. I am sure they will let you know if some loop hole lets them open the letter.
