The other day while on a project at one of our company branch offices I was asked out for a drink by a much younger woman. I have always worn my ring and had to actually point it out to her. She was totally embarrassed by her actions, but I was wondering if she really did miss seeing the ring. So do women still check this out or doesn't it matter anymore with all the infidelity going on?

im 21 and have never checked guys for wedding rings.. until i got married lol. now, i check if he's wearing his everyday lol!

I'd say most women do check men for wedding rings. Of course there are many men that are married and don't wear their rings which I think is sad. My guess is this was a woman that thought you were nice looking and didn't care if you were married or not. In fact; she may have been the type where it is a game to her to see if she can get the married man to cheat. You should be commended for not falling prey to basically what I would call a homewrecking devil.

She couldn't have cared less she tried to save face when you showed her the ring, btw-I am happily married for almost 22 years, I was always very cavalier about rings or worrying--I would die before I'd commit adultery and I think my husband would also. Neither of us wear rings, and when I was single I never ever asked a man out for a date or for a drink or anything--I was always the one asked out--what is going on these days? Females are desperate, nobody has self- confidence any more, is this what women's lib produced? lol

Yes, women do still check, but there are some men that remove their rings at the site of an attractive woman.

I think they see the ring, but "check you out" to see how loyal you are. Men and women do steal spouses away all the time. Some are VERY CLEVER and tell sob stories to become 'emotionally intimate' for starters. You were playing with fire accepting the young lady's invitation. It's hard for me to believe that you are that naive, but, oh well...

I think women notice body language first. If a guy seems like he's responding to the body language, like eye contact, and flirtatous smiles, then it's a go sign. I'm married, but when I wasn't, I was overly cautious to make sure a guy wasn't with someone before I'd even consider him. Maybe all the good girls are taken and steering clear and/or you're sending signals out that you shouldn't be?

Well most men just lie and take off their ring anyways so do we REALLY know if they're married or not? I check but honestly don't trust any guys these days.

I wear a wedding ring but my wife died a couple years ago.

Nope, I got the ladies hitting on me all the time where I work. They pretend to ignore my GIANT gold finger until I beat them off of me with it.
