Whales and dolphins belong to this group. Cetacea is an order of Class: Mammalia. Probably mammals that lived in water were placed here.
Echolocation is for escaping from predators and identifying prey and since, dolphins are social mammals, they find their young and communicate with each other that way.

Rather than just cutting people's answers and pasting it into your papers (which is called plagiarism, by the way - and it is ILLEGAL) how about do your own homework and worse still - DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH like reading books and searching the internet? You might actualy learn something!

asking on Y!A is easy but you won't really know or remember enough about any particular subject to be truly knowledgeable

I guess you need help with your homework?
cetacea are whales "The order Cetacea contains ninety species, all marine except for five species of freshwater dolphins. The order is divided into two suborders, Mysticeti (baleen whales) and Odontoceti (toothed whales, which includes dolphins and porpoises)."
echolocation is sounds sent out that bounce back and tell them by how long it takes to come back what it is in front of them like another fish. Bats also use it tho they are not cetacea.

I'm by no means a biologist, but I could swear that Lobsters are in the cetacea category. crayfish too. Don't know why, I think it's because they can regenerate.

They probably use it to tell where each other are and to talk to each other, and because sound travels very well in water and very fast and in straight lines.
