My grandpa' used to do this for a little extra cash when I was a kid. It was pretty interesting to watch.

Man, this is amazing... my neice is a farrier...learned it from her father...18 years old and has been doing it since she was 16.

I Would Assume There Is Someone Around That Shoe's Horses Because There Are A Lot Of People That Have Horses In The Countryside~

Yes, and I guess it's cool to watch, I have two horses and work at a stable so I see it a lot. Oh, and a farrier is the person who trims a horses hooves and put shoes on them.

I used to have 6 horses and I had so much extra hay that we bartered services....shoeing for hay...

We have several in my small town and outlaying villages....

No, we don't..but it would be interesting to watch! I have seen it on "Little House on the Prairie" and other westerns. I bet it was hard, hard work!

I'm sure there is. My dad used to do the hooves of our horses all the time. I never have, but watched him do it.
