Huh, I bet now all it will play is grunge!

You can get it fixed by sending it back to Apple, but that'll cost some bucks. Assuming it was just water it fell into (?), you may be able to dry it out with heat, so try that first. If you can hear any water in it when you shake it, you'll want to figure out how to drain that before proceeding.

Take the batteries out of it. Then heat your kitchen oven to about 100 degrees (NOT MUCH MORE IS SAFE!) and put the iPod in there for a few hours. Keep an eye on it so it doesn't accidently get too hot and melt.

When all remaining moisture has been evaporated, cool the iPod, reinstall the batteries and give it a try. It may work now - if not, send it back to Apple. Good luck!

well, if it wasnt on then theres a chance it may be alive. if it was a nano or shuffle then theres a huge chance it works, just let it dry out for a few hours and try. if it was a bigger ipod, then there is low a chance of the ipod working, cuz the bigger ones have moving parts, but if it wasnt on let it dry and give it one.

If it is less than 1 year old...send it back to Apple...they will replace with a reciept...come up with an exuse. It will cost a couple of $$ but it is for the better...

GOOD LUCK

Don't use it for like a week and it could work. That has been my experience with most electronics. But, you can always take it to an Apple store for repair.

Buy a new one or send it in to Apple. If you have a warranty it will be free if not you will have to pay.
