I'm trying to figure out how to download songs onto a rca mp3 player purchased for my niece for her Birthday.Pleas help as its all very confusing!!!!

illegally yes, programs such as limewire or bearshare, but if your not careful you can infect your computer with virus's. Now if you want your niece to be doing it the legal way, then itunes would be the way to go, although you do have to pay .99 per song, but every tueday it does have 2-3 free downloads of free songs.

Maybe you should also try using Windows Media Player to convert one of your CDs into mp3s. That can be difficult though. Here's a program that makes it pretty easy:
