Are you familiar with programming in other languages at all? If so, I could suggest getting the latest copy of SAMS Teach Yourself Visual Basic in 21 days.

The copy I bought was very helpful and even came with a learning edition of VB5 that I could install and use on my home PC so I could learn at my leisure. I learned the basics there, then took a course on Saturdays at my local community college and it was great.

By the way, if you have a copy of Microsoft Access, you can also program in VBA which is a variation of VB (Visual Basic for Access). You can develop all of your forms and database tables in Access, then build code in VBA to link forms and reports together.

you should first learn programming basic. meaning that you must familiar with how a program works and how to write code and correct error. you must familiar with variables, constants, selection, repetition and the language environment. i'd say vb 6 should come easy if you know other programming language.

as i said, if you want i can email you .zip file of Programming Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0

If you send me your email address I can send a good tutorial word document.

VB is a very easy language to learn, if you think about the bigger image, and in a logical manner. Most of the commands are english such as :
-Let
-Set
-Loop
-Until
-While
and many more

Check my profile and send me your address
